11 Sep 2014 – Salmon, the eCommerce digital agency, announced it has acquired Neoworks, “the eCommerce people”, for an undisclosed fee. The deal will see Salmon, Europe’s leading IBM® WebSphere Commerce platform integrator, add Neoworks, a leading hybris multichannel commerce platform integrator, and developers of some of the core hybris product capability, to its offering. This will enable the companies to offer a compelling eCommerce proposition, allowing their clients to benefit from both IBM and hybris capabilities, depending on their needs.
The acquisition continues a successful 25th year in business for Salmon which recently announced several high-profile hires and counts Argos, DFS and Sainsbury’s among its customers. Salmon has built a reputation for the design, development, implementation and management of enterprise-scale multichannel systems across retail, manufacturing and wholesale. This deal adds flexibility to the company’s offering, enabling Salmon and Neoworks to put their clients’ eCommerce vision before technical considerations, and to take advantage of the most appropriate platform to drive their multichannel business.

With the deal complete, Neoworks’ 30+ staff will become Salmon employees. They will form the ‘hybris practice’ focused on existing clients and new projects built on the hybris platform. They will complement Salmon’s existing IBM and Magento practices.
