neoworks create new e-commerce website for HealthyDirect
The Customer
HealthyDirect was founded in 2000 and was originally set up as a catalogue-based company. Since then it has gone from strength to strength to become the second largest vitamins supplier to the UK. Following the success of the catalogue, www.healthydirect.com was launched in January 2004 and with the launch of the new website in August 2007 is set to follow in the same successful footsteps.
The Brief
The challenges facing HealthyDirect were twofold: To improve on their already successful website and to create a central repository for product information management.
Key areas for improvement on the website are in search engine performance, campaigns and promotion support, usability and the ability for the marketing team at HealthyDirect to be able to test performance using split testing. Structured product information management (PIM) was a key requirement for the new system, enabling users internally and externally to access and manage product information.
At the same time as launching the new website HealthyDirect updated their branding and product packaging. So, the new website launch also a hard deadline to coincide with the distribution of their August catalogue carrying the new branding and product images with the updated product packaging.
Our Solution
HealthyDirect’s new website is built on version 3 of the Hybris e-commerce platform. The platform was heavily customised to accommodate HealthyDirect’s product information and website functionality requirements. The website makes extensive use of the Hybris promotions functionality to manage offers and pricing for cross channel campaigns.
The management of the website is integrated into the Hybris management console, providing both HealthyDirect employees and third party agencies appropriate access to and control of product and marketing information.
The website integrates with a number of external systems including fulfilment and warehouse management, payment processing, usage tracking and marketing data warehouse systems.
Success
The new website, http://www.healthydirect.com, launched on schedule and serves over one million customers.
